Bali, with its beautiful beaches, lush landscapes, and vibrant culture, is a dream destination for travelers worldwide. Among its most sought-after destinations is the coastal town of Canggu, known for its surf-friendly beaches, scenic rice fields, and trendy cafes. While Canggu is easily accessible, getting around Bali can be a challenge due to its often crowded roads and complex traffic. Hiring a car with a driver can be the perfect solution, offering a blend of comfort, convenience, and local knowledge that enhances the travel experience.
In this guide, we’ll explore why choosing a car with a driver is one of the best ways to experience Canggu and Bali as a whole, and what to expect when you make this choice.
Why Hire a Car with a Driver in Canggu?
- Stress-Free Travel
- Bali’s roads can be congested, especially in popular areas like Canggu. Traffic rules and driving styles may differ significantly from what international travelers are accustomed to, which can be challenging and stressful. With a private driver, you can leave the navigation and traffic concerns to an experienced local while you enjoy the scenery and relax.
- Local Insights and Hidden Gems
- A driver with local knowledge can help you discover spots that might not appear in standard travel guides. From hidden beaches and quiet cafes to lesser-known temples and cultural hotspots, a local driver can provide unique insights that enrich your journey and lead you to explore off-the-beaten-path experiences.
- Flexible and Personalized Itinerary
- Public transportation in Bali can be limited, and ridesharing services may not be readily available, particularly in remote areas. Having a car with a driver allows you the flexibility to create a personalized itinerary. You can take your time exploring each location without worrying about waiting for transportation or rushing to catch the next ride.
- Safety and Comfort
- Safety is a top priority, and hiring a professional driver ensures that you’ll travel with someone who understands the local rules of the road. Bali’s narrow streets, unexpected road conditions, and motorbikes zipping by require experience and caution. Additionally, most car and driver services offer well-maintained vehicles with amenities like air conditioning, bottled water, and even Wi-Fi, making each journey as comfortable as possible.
